Two Colorado receivers named to 2026 Biletnikoff Award watch list

The Colorado Buffaloes' wide receiver room is one of the deepest in the country and got a major facelift this offseason, adding former All-American Danny Scudero, Texas star DeAndre Moore Jr., and one of the top Group of Six receivers, Kam Perry.

On Wednesday, Scudero and Perry were named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list ahead of the 2026 season.

Scudero's inclusion on the list should not come as a surprise, as the senior is coming off a breakout season in 2025, during which he was a second-team All-American and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist.

In his lone season at San Jose State, Scudero racked up 1,297 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He led the nation in receiving yards through the regular season.

Perry had an equally impressive 2025 season with Miami (OH), recording 43 receptions for 976 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He was a first-team All-MAC selection and was the Redhawks' offensive MVP.

Both players clearly deserve the nod after their performances last season. Perry profiles as the top slot receiver in Brennan Marion's offense, while Scudero should be used all over the formation.

The award recognizes not only college football's top wide receiver but also tight ends, split ends, slot backs, and even a pass-dominant running back.

Colorado has a recent history with the award, with 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter taking home the honor. With a deep and talented room this year, it might be hard for one player to stand out, but it would not shock me to see Perry or Scudero be a semifinalist or even a finalist come the end of the season.
