Two of LSU football's 2026 signees capped their high school careers with a state championship Saturday. Richard Anderson and Aiden Hall were part of Edna Karr's 49-14 victory over St. Augustine to clinch the Louisiana Division I select state title.

It is the second-straight state title for the Cougars, who won the game inside New Orleans' Caesars Superdome. The defense, led by Anderson and Hall, forced five turnovers. Both will enroll at LSU in a month for the spring semester.

Anderson committed to LSU in June 2024 and never wavered. He stuck by his decision despite the team's rocky season and a coaching change that brought Lane Kiffin to Baton Rouge as the next head coach. Rivals' Industry Rankings gives him a five-star rating as the top defensive lineman and No. 2 player out of Louisiana.

Hall made his decision public in August 2024. A four-star prospect, he's ranked the No. 21 safety and No. 7 player from the state, per Rivals' Industry Rankings. Both Hall and Anderson put pen to paper with the Tigers in the early signing period.
