Auburn football has scheduled a visit with UAB redshirt sophomore transfer wide receiver Iverson Hooks for Jan. 8-9 via his agent to On3.

Hooks is ranked No. 40 in his position by 247Sports. The redshirt sophomore took a massive leap this year. In 2025, he hauled in 72 passes for 927 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. Years prior, Hooks had only 25 catches for 298 yards receiving.

Auburn will host Hooks Jan. 8-9, right after another SEC school, LSU, hosts him Jan. 7-8. He also has scheduled visits with Wisconsin, Indiana, and Oklahoma State.

The former Pike Road Patriot could bring a level of versatility to the offense that head coach Alex Golesh saw firsthand. One of Hooks’ best games of the season came against Golesh and the USF Bulls, where he caught 10 passes for 146 yards.

Hooks is one of a few transfer portal entries to garner interest from Auburn on day one of the transfer portal window. Auburn has reportedly offered Charlotte cornerback Dwight Bootle, and has become the favorite to land USF transfer quarterback Byrum Brown.
