UCF football: What to know ahead of National Signing Day 2026

ORLANDO — UCF’s football roster is mostly set in stone for the 2026 season, but head coach Scott Frost remains open to finding a few more pieces however possible.
That includes a late addition, or possibly more, on Wednesday’s National Signing Day.
Frost’s staff made four signings last February, beefing up its depth in the trenches with Camp Lott, Raishaun McHaney, Jacob Maiava and Trenton Turner. Maiava made four appearances as a freshman, utilized as a fullback for a 1-yard touchdown run against Houston.
Here’s what we know about the Knights going into the traditional signing period.
When is National Signing Day?
National Signing Day is set for Feb. 4, 2026.
From that day forward, unsigned and uncommitted high school senior athletes may sign financial aid agreements with Division I football programs.
It’s the second window for high school signings. The early signing period ran from Dec. 3-5, 2025.
Will UCF football sign any more players?
UCF is on track to make at least one more addition this week, three-star wide receiver Jordan Nunuha from St. Louis School in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Nunuha, who committed to the Knights on Jan. 10, held early offers from Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Nevada and San Diego State. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder caught 38 passes for 652 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season.
There is a chance UCF circles back on Wekiva defensive tackle Isaiah McNish, who reopened his recruitment in October. McNish told The News-Journal over the summer that the Knights also saw potential in using him in short-yardage offensive packages.
UCF added four defensive tackles in the transfer portal, most recently Artavius Jones from Miami.
Olympia defensive back Ja’Cari Jackson was expected to join the class in the spring but decommitted on Jan. 8. His primary recruiter, Brandon Harris, left the program in December to join Jon Sumrall’s staff at Florida.
Who did UCF sign during the early period in December?
UCF landed 14 players during the early signing period. Its top recruit, Tyren Hornes, waited until Jan. 3 to announce — at halftime of the Under Armour Next All-America Game at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand.
Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, UCF has the No. 64 high school class in the country.
