UCF football received a verbal commitment for its 2027 recruiting class in three-star wide receiver Jamal Robinson Jr.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Robinson attends Mater Academy Charter near Miami.

He becomes the Knights’ sole commitment after three-star quarterback Logan Flaherty of Port Charlotte High School de-committed earlier in the day.

Robinson accounted for 391 yards on 21 catches and 7 touchdowns in 10 games last season for the Lions, according to MaxPreps. He had 17 offers from schools such as Florida, Florida State and Indiana.

All verbal commitments are non-binding, but can become official during the early signing period in December.

Receivers coach Sean Beckton Sr. recruited Robinson, who could be a crucial piece as the Knights continue to develop their receivers unit.

UCF returns eight receivers with multiple years of experience, led by Duane Thomas Jr., Waden Charles and Day Day Farmer, along with transfers Josh Derry and Jonathan Bibbs. The Knights signed a trio of high school prospects as part of its 2026 recruiting class, led by four-star wideout Tyren Hornes and Jordan Nunuha.
