The North Carolina Tar Heels, hoping to snap their 4-game losing streak, face the Syracuse Orange Halloween night for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

UNC (2-5, 0-3 ACC) came within inches of upsetting Virginia last week, losing 17-16 in a game that came down to a failed 2-point conversion in overtime.

Davion Gause scored a touchdown on North Carolina's first possession of the extra time period, then went for the win. Gio Lopez rolled out to his right and found Benjamin Hall in the flat, but his outstretched arms barely missed the end zone.

Despite their loss, the Tar Heels showcased plenty improvement, highlighted by six sacks and nearly 400 offensive yards.

Syracuse (3-5, 1-4 ACC), on the other hand, is enduring an arguably worse tailspin. The Orange lost each of their past two games by three possessions, while allowing Duke, SMU, Pitt and Georgia Tech to all reach the 30-point plateau.

Anwar Sparrow takes the football 51 yards to the end zone, Syracuse converts on the extra points and takes a 7-3 lead late in the opening quarter.

UNC gets on the board first

The Tar Heels got a big play by Kobe Paysour down the sideline to set them up deep in Syracuse's red zone. But the Tar Heels offense stalls, and they get a field goal. It's 3-0 Tar Heels in the first quarter.
