UNC football recruiting — List of players committed to Tar Heels before early signing day

UNC football coach Bill Belichick completed his first season with the Tar Heels in the regular-season finale at N.C. State. 

After posting a 4-8 record, including a 2-6 mark in the ACC, Belichick said during his final postgame press conference that UNC will move “pretty quickly” toward focusing on the early signing period, which runs from Dec. 3-5. 

After welcoming 70 newcomers to his debut roster, which included a mix of returners, freshmen and additions via the transfer portal, Belichick figures to have another big overhaul to join a stacked 2025 recruiting class.

Here’s a breakdown of UNC football’s 2026 recruiting class, including rankings, targets, commitments and offers, as of Nov. 30. 

UNC football recruiting targets 

Wide receiver O’Mari Johnson, wide receiver Kei’Maurii Miles, offensive lineman Da’Ron Parks, junior college cornerback Asaad Chapman and defensive lineman Joseph Peko  are among the Tar Heels’ top targets entering the early signing period.

When is early signing day?

The early signing period occurs in December, starting Dec. 3 and running through Dec. 5. 

When is late signing day? 

Following the December signing period, prospects have to wait until national signing day on Feb. 4, 2026.
