UNC vs. Notre Dame: Who you got?

Last time we saw the North Carolina Tar Heels football team in action, it was a bit of a disappointment. After jumping out to a decent lead against Clemson, UNC let it slip away and were beaten by the Tigers to take their first loss of the season. Beyond that, Clemson has not had a particularly great start to the season and the game looked to be there for the taking.

Since then, the Tar Heels have had some time to reset as they had their second and final bye week for the year. While that hopefully has given them some time to make adjustments that can hopefully carry them the rest of the season, the task this coming week will likely be the toughest of the entire season.

Later today, Carolina will welcome Notre Dame into Kenan Stadium. After having been the last team left out of last year’s college football playoff, the Irish came into this season as a contender for the national championship. So far, they haven’t done anything to take them out of that category. Notre Dame has gone 4-0 so far and currently sit at #3 in the AP Top 25. Only one game they’ve played has even been semi-close, and that was against Michigan State, who they still beat by 17 and held to just 10 points. Across their four games, they’ve allowed just 33 points, which is bad news for a UNC offense that hasn’t lit it up so far.

With all that in mind, it’s time for today’s question of the day, which will be what I’ve wanted to know on every game day so far: who you got?

For me personally, I have to go with Notre Dame. For one, I’ve been a skeptic about this UNC team all season, even after the solid win over TCU to start the year. Adding onto that, I think if I were filling out a playoff bracket right now, I might take Notre Dame to win it all. Even if I thought the Tar Heels were a legitimately good team, I would probably still take the Irish to beat them anyway. It’s with all that being said, for my personal pick, I’m taking Notre Dame to win 42-6.

That’s my personal opinion, but now we want to hear from you. Who will win today’s game? Do you think the Tar Heels can pull off a massive upset? Let us know.
