Dec. 29—GRAND FORKS — The initial coaching staff for UND football head coach Eric Schmidt is seeing its first change.
UND has posted a job opening for wide receivers coach with applications closing on Jan. 5.
UND's wide receivers coach in the 2025 season was first-year assistant Malik Bradshaw, a former Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver. Bradshaw came to UND from Augustana, an NCAA Division II program in Sioux Falls.
Among the preferred qualifications listed in the job posting are experience coaching at the Division I level, experience as a college football player on offense and professional playing experience.
UND's wide receiver position group could see an overhaul in 2025, as leading receiver B.J. Fleming announced earlier this offseason his intent to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
The Hawks also graduate receivers Nate DeMontagnac and Caden Dennis.
UND finished the 2025 season 8-6 after falling to Tarleton State in the second round of the FCS Playoffs.
The Hawks finished with the No. 4 scoring offense in the Missouri Valley Football Conference at 32.9 points per game. UND was also fourth in total offense at 387.2 yards per game.
UND's passing offense ranked seventh in the MVFC at 192.4 yards per game.
