Updated Big Ten football standings and bowl eligibility after Week 3

A full weekend schedule of Big Ten football is now officially in the books, and our first games of the Big Ten conference slate have been played. Two West Coast teams, USC and UCLA, have taken the early lead in the Big Ten standings following their respective Big Ten opener victories in Week 3.
USC traveled across the country to hold off Rutgers and UCLA capped the weekend with a late West Coast shootout victory against Purdue. The rest of the Big Ten will get in the swing of things starting next week, but the two California members of the conference can enjoy seeing their names at the top of the Big Ten standings for now.
Here is a look at the updated Big Ten football standings, with just two games played in the early part of the year.

Big Ten postseason eligibility tracker
After Week 3, no Big Ten team has been able to clinch bowl eligibility just yet. With 6 wins required to be eligible for postseason play, a few teams are at least halfway there, however. Here is a quick look at which Big Ten teams are closing in on postseason eligibility, who is halfway to the requirement, and what school is in the earliest danger of not making the postseason.

With a couple of exceptions, we are jumping into a pretty full slate of Big Ten matchups next week, including Penn State's home game against Wisconsin and a top-25 showdown on the West Coast. Here is what is on tap for Week 4 around the Big Ten. All games are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, unless noted otherwise. All times are Eastern.
