UPDATED JAN. 21: Cowboys' portal class ranked No. 6, up to 54 additions

The transfer portal opened Jan. 2, and the action has been heating up for Oklahoma State and head coach Eric Morris.

The Cowboys are up to a nation-leading 54 portal additions so far, headlined by five-star North Texas quarterback Drew Mestemaker, the nation's leading passer and one of the top players in the portal.

OSU's transfer portal class currently ranks No. 6 nationally, according to 247Sports, just behind LSU, Texas, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Penn State. The Cowboys have added one five-star – quarterback Drew Mestemaker – four four-stars and 43 three-stars during the portal cycle.

Morris has brought in 17 players from UNT, his previous school, accounting for half of the 34 Mean Green players who have entered the portal since he took the OSU job. OSU has also had nearly 60 players enter the portal.

There will be plenty more movement, but here’s a look who the Cowboys are bringing in through the portal and who is leaving.

Incoming transfers

Ayo Adeyi, running back

Previous school: James Madison

Adeyi previously played for Morris at North Texas in 2023 before transferring to James Madison. The 5-foot-7, 199-pound redshirt senior has amassed 2,480 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns in his career. Adeyi was a Conference USA All-Freshman selection in 2021 at UNT, before Morris arrived, and ran for more than 1,300 yards from 2021-22. He had a career-high 1,013 rushing yards and six touchdowns in 2023 under Morris.

Adeyi's career never got going with the Dukes. He started the first two games of the 2024 season before an injury cost him the rest of the year. He played in four regular season games (six total) this season and maintained his redshirt and final year of eligibility.

Nolan Akins, long snapper

Previous school: SMU

Akins appeared in two games for the Mustangs this season as a freshman.

Chris Barnes, receiver

Previous school: Wake Forest

Barnes had a breakout year this season as a redshirt freshman, catching 41 passes for 566 yards and three touchdowns. Listed at 5-7, 168 pounds, Barnes is a speedster who was also used in the rushing game 13 times for 142 yards. New OSU wide receivers coach Nick Edwards was Barnes’ receivers coach at Wake Forest. He is a four-star addition with three years of eligibility left.

Trudell Berry, cornerback

Previous school: Vanderbilt

Berry missed the 2025 season with an undisclosed issue but played in 24 games across the previous three seasons for the Commodores. The 6-1, 196-pound corner has recorded 29 tackles, six pass breakups and a forced fumble in his career. Berry is a three-star addition with a year of eligibility left.

Christian Bodnar, cornerback

Previous school: Liberty

Bodnar, 5-11, 185 pounds, made 44 tackles, two sacks and broke up one pass in nine starts and 12 appearances this season as a redshirt sophomore. He played in five games in 2024 before being diagnosed with post-infectious encephalitis — a rare condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the brain – and he lost the ability to walk. Bednar was named Comeback Player of the Year this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Justin Bowick, receiver

Previous school: Illinois

Bowick, 6-4, 210 pounds, caught 22 passes for 265 yards and a team-high five touchdowns in 2025. Bowick, a four-star addition, will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Bodie Boydstun, tight end

Previous school: Southwestern Oklahoma State

Boydstun was a star quarterback for Class-B Oklahoma Bible Academy in high school and began his career at SWOSU as a QB before transition to tight end. The past two years, the 6-5, 240-pound tight end has caught 17 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns.

Isaiah Chisom, linebacker

Previous school: UCLA

Chisom made 10 starts and was the second-leading tackler for the Bruins this season as a redshirt sophomore. Listed at 6-1, 235 pounds, Chisom made 84 tackles, broke up one pass and forced two fumbles in his one season at UCLA after transferring from Oregon State. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Saadiq Clements, defensive line

Previous school: North Texas

Clements played in only two games in two years at Louisville before transferring to UNT last year, where he made eight starts and 12 appearances on the defensive line as a redshirt sophomore. Clements, 6-4, 290 pounds, recorded 30 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Miles Coleman, receiver

Previous school: North Texas

Coleman was third at UNT in receiving this season with 47 catches for 550 yards and two touchdowns in 11 appearances and six starts as a sophomore. He caught seven passes for 125 yards and a TD in the American Conference title game. Coleman, 5-6, 159 pounds, attended Vandegrift High School in Austin, Texas, the same school as new OSU QB Drew Mestemaker.

Johnny Dickson, offensive line

Previous school: North Texas

Dickson started every game at right guard this season as a redshirt junior and was a Third-Team All-American Conference selection. He played more than 750 snaps and had the sixth-highest run blocking grade of any guard in the conference. Dickson, 6-2, 296 pounds, spent two seasons at UNT and two at Virginia Tech.

Donovan Green, tight end

Previous school: LSU

Green spent his first three seasons with Texas A&M, before transferring to LSU in 2025, where he caught two passes for 40 yards as a redshirt junior. He has 24 catches for 273 yards and two touchdowns in his career.

Quinton Hammonds, safety

Previous school: North Texas

Hammonds appeared in 12 games this season and made 10 starts, totaling 53 tackles, three pass break-ups and a team-high two interceptions. Hammonds, 6-foot-1, 219 pounds, was a sophomore and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Joseph Hanson, offensive line

Previous school: Coastal Carolina

Hansen played in 28 games across three years with CCU, including 10 starts in 2025. The 6-5, 300-pound right tackle was an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention and has a year of eligibility remaining.

Rodney Harris II, receiver

Previous school: Ohio

Harris was the second-leading receiver for the Bobcats this season as a redshirt junior with 30 catches for 419 yards and 2 touchdowns. Harris, 6-2, 213 pounds, is a three-star addition with a year of eligibility remaining.

Caleb Hawkins, running back

Previous school: North Texas

Hawkins is one of the top overall players in the transfer portal, with both On3 and 247Sports rating Hawkins as the second-highest rated running back in the portal class. Hawkins, from North Rock Creek in Shawnee, was a star as a true freshman at UNT, finishing with 25 rushing touchdowns (No. 1 nationally) and 1,434 rushing yards (No. 5 nationally), while averaging 110.3 rushing yards per game (No. 6 nationally). Hawkins, 6-2, 200 pounds, has three years of eligibility remaining.

Kai Holec, offensive line

Previous school: Indiana State

Holec appeared in seven games as a redshirt freshman for the Sycamores this season after transferring from San Diego State. Listed at 6-8, 325 pounds, Holec is a three-star prospect with potential and three years of eligibility.

Vincent Holmes, safety

Previous school: Washington

Holmes played in 25 of the Huskies’ 26 games the past two seasons and made 11 tackles. Listed at 6-foot, 190 pounds, Holmes has two years of eligibility remaining.

Maurion Horn, cornerback

Previous school: Texas Tech

Horn appeared in seven games for the Red Raiders as a redshirt junior this season and made four tackles with three pass breakups. The 5-11, 190-pound defensive back broke onto the scene in 2024 with 57 tackles and five pass breakups. Horn, from Broken Arrow, will play his final year of eligibility back close to home.

Keviyan Huddleston, defensive line

Previous school: North Texas

Huddleston led UNT in sacks (5.0) and tackles for loss (9.5) this season as a redshirt sophomore. Listed at 6-2, 260 pounds, Huddleston appeared in every game and made two starts. He spent his first two season at TCU and appeared in three games. Huddleston is a talented, young option who will have two year of eligibility remaining and could help replace OSU's sack leader in 2025, Wendell Gregory, who entered the portal.

DJ Jackson Jr., defensive line

Previous school: Troy

Jackson has been on quite the college football journey and is now jumping to Division I. He began his career at D-II Carson-Newman before moving to Coffeyville Community College in 2024. This past season, Jackson transferred to Troy as a junior and made 22 tackles and two sacks. The 6-4, 262-pound edge rusher has a year of eligibility remaining.

Evan Jackson, safety

Previous school: North Texas

Jackson played three seasons at UNT and appeared in every game and has made 10 starts the past two years. Listed at 5-11, 183 pounds, Jackson has made 103 tackles and intercepted five passes the past two seasons.

Grant Jordan, quarterback

Previous school: UMass

Jordan was a four-year player and 2024 starter at Yale before transferring to UMass this past season. He completed 63 of 110 passes for 595 yards with the Minutemen with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Jordan, 6-2, 210 pounds, has a year of eligibility remaining.

Sam Keltner, kicker

Previous school: SMU

Keltner was the Mustang's main kicker this season as a freshman. He made 14 of 20 field-goal attempts and made all eight attempts inside 40 yards with a long of 51 yards. Keltner was also 36 of 38 on extra points.

Jerry Lawson, defensive line

Previous school: Louisville

Lawson played for new OSU defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity at Abilene Christian in 2023 and 2024 and was first-team all-conference before getting his shot at the FBS level with Louisville. Lawson, 6-2, 295 pounds, played in all the Cardinals' game this season as a junior and made 16 tackles with 0.5 sacks.

Ashton Lepo, offensive line

Previous school: Michigan State

Lepo started all 12 games for the Spartans at right tackle in 2024, then played in four games this past season as a redshirt junior before missing the remainder of the season with an injury. Lepo, 6-7, 316 pounds, has at least one year of eligibility remaining.

Kollin Lewis, cornerback

Previous school: North Texas

Lewis, 5-11, 185 pounds, appeared in 12 games and made one start this season. The redshirt sophomore recorded 15 tackles and two interceptions.

Terrence Lewis, receiver

Previous school: North Texas

Lewis found the field as a true freshman this season, appearing in 12 games and making 11 catches for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Lewis, 5-11, 165 pounds, was a finalist for the Texas High School Football 6A Wide Receiver of the Year as a senior at Bryan High.

Dominic Macon, defensive line

Previous school: Washington

Macon redshirted as a freshman this season and didn’t see any playing time with the Huskies but was the No. 6 overall recruit in Oregon in the class of 2025. Listed at 6-3, 310 pounds, Macon is a three-star addition with four years of eligibility remaining.

Desmond Magiya, offensive line

Previous school: North Texas

Magiya, 6-5, 329 pounds, appeared in 12 games this season and made two starts as a redshirt sophomore.His two starts both came at left tackle.

William Mason, running back

Previous school: UCO

Mason was a workhorse at UCO this season, carrying the ball 124 times for 735 yards and five touchdowns. The 6-2, 225-pound running back appeared in 30 games across three seasons, totaling 1,627 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. Mason, a Coweta product, has one year of eligibility, plus a redshirt, remaining.

Morgan McPhaul, tight end

Previous school: VMI

McPhaul, 6-2, 265 pounds, became a starter in 2024 and has reeled in 29 catches for 248 yards and two touchdowns over the past two seasons. He was given no star rating and has one year of eligibility left.

Tyler Mercer, offensive line

Previous school: Kansas

Mercer played for Morris at UNT in 2024 before transferring to KU in 2025. With UNT as a true freshman, Mercer, 6-4, 300 pounds, played in eight games, starting in six, and was an On3 True Freshman All-American. He played in three games with the Jayhawks and redshirted. Mercer has three years of eligibility remaining.

Drew Mestemaker, quarterback

Previous school: North Texas

Mestemaker is the No. 1 quarterback in the transfer portal, according to On3, and 247Sports ranked Mestemaker as the third-best quarterback in the portal. As a redshirt freshman this year, Mestemaker, 6-4, 211 pounds, threw for a national-best 4,379 yards and 34 touchdowns, completed nearly 69% of his passes and led UNT to a program-record 12-2 season. The former walk-on developed quickly in one season starting under Morris and will follow his coach to Stillwater.

Dennis Moody III, running back

Previous school: North Texas

Moody appeared in only four games this season as a junior with UNT, mainly on special teams, and redshirted. Before UNT, Moody spent two seasons at North Alabama, where he rushed 101 times for 359 yards and a score. Moody, 5-11, 165 pounds, has two years of eligibility remaining.

Braydon Nelson, offensive line

Previous school: North Texas

Nelson was one of the Mean Green's top offensive lineman. The 6-4, 321-pound sophomore started 25 of 26 games the past two seasons at UNT, including every game this season, all at one of the tackle spots. His 73.2 PFF offensive grade ranked seventh in the American Conference and earned him second-team all-conference honors.

Tre Page III, running back

Previous school: Tarleton State

Page had a huge year this season as a redshirt freshman. The 5-9, 180-pound tailback rushed 112 times for 839 yards and seven touchdowns at an impressive 7.5-yards-per-carry average – in just eight games. Page missed four games with an injury and was named a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, given to the FCS’ freshman of the year. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Mose Phillips III, safety

Previous school: Missouri

Mose appeared in 11 games for the Tigers as a junior and made five tackles with a pass breakup and one forced fumble. He spent two years at Virginia Tech, where he was a two-time letterwinner and made 92 tackles, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and an interception across 25 appearances and 13 starts. Phillips, 6-2, 200 pounds, is a three-star addition with a year of eligibility left.

Israel Polk, receiver

Previous school: Akron

Polk, 6-1, 175 pounds, spent the past two seasons at Akron and had his best season so far in 2025, with 33 catches for 525 yards and eight touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore. He joined the zips in 2024 after one season at Pittsburgh in 2023. Polk, from California powerhouse St. John Bosco, has two years of eligibility remaining.

Lachie Pozzobon, punter

Previous school: Stephen F. Austin

Pozzobon was a freshman this season and punted 53 times for the Lumberjacks, averaging 41.8 yards a punt. He pinned 13 punts inside the 20-yard line and didn't record a touchback. From Melbourne, Australia, Pozzobon grew up playing Australian rules football.

Jack Puckett, linebacker

Previous school: UCO

Puckett was a Division-II All-American for the Bronchos in 2024, starting all 13 games and leading the team in tackles (102), tackles for loss (15) and sacks (seven). As a redshirt junior this season, Puckett, listed at 6-1, 240 pounds, made 63 tackles, four sacks and an interception. The former Bixby standout should have a year of eligibility remaining.

Braylon Rigsby, defensive line

Previous school: Texas Tech

Rigsby played in 26 games at TTU, making 24 tackles. As a redshirt sophomore this season, Rigsby, 6-2, 275 pounds, played in every game and made six tackles with a pair of quarterback hurries. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Tate Romney, linebacker

Previous school: Arizona State

After redshirting as a freshman at BYU in 2022, Romney made 70 tackles, one sack and broke up five passes. He was a starter in 2023 and fourth on the team in tackles, which kept him out for a chunk of 2024. He played in 10 games this season and made 13 tackles.

Jacob Sexton, offensive line

Previous school: Oklahoma

Sexton started 14 games across four years with the Sooners as an offensive tackle but has battled injuries and only appeared in the season opener in 2025. At 6-6, 330 pounds, Sexton was a four-star recruit from Deer Creek who was a top 10 prospect in the class of 2022.

Kanijal Thomas, cornerback

Previous school: Kansas State

Kanijal played in 12 games this season as a redshirt sophomore and made five tackles, forced a fumble and broke up a pass. The 5-11, 186-pound DB from Del City played on special teams as a freshman in 2023, then missed most of 2024 with an injury before having his most productive season in 2025.

Shaun Torgeson, offensive line

Previous school: Portland State

Torgeson started all 12 games at left tackle for the Vikings this season as a redshirt freshman. Listed at 6-4, 290 pounds, Torgeson has three years of eligibility remaining.

Fatafehi Vailea II, defensive line

Previous school: North Texas

Vailea has started 30 games at UNT since 2021 and made 119 tackles, 3.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in his career. Listed at 6-1, 292 pounds, Vailea started the first four games this season before suffering a season-ending injury against Army − a game in which he forced a fumble and made a career-high 10 tackles.

Billy Walton III, defensive line

Previous school: SMU

Walton, 6-3, 250 pounds, appeared in all 13 games this season as a redshirt sophomore and recorded six tackles and two sacks. Walton also appeared in nine games in 2024 after transferring from Texas. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Ethan Wesloski, linebacker

Previous school: North Texas

Wesloski appeared in every game the past three years and started in 28 of those, totaling 233 tackles, seven sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception. Listed at 6-1, 234 pounds, Wesloski had his best season in 2025 as a redshirt junior, leading UNT with 113 tackles, leading all American Conference linebackers in PFF defensive grade and being named Second-Team All-American Conference honors.

Enai White, defensive line

Previous school: Penn State

White was a heralded four-star recruit in the class of 2022, ranked 38th overall, but he hasn’t found his footing yet. He appeared in eight games for the Nittany Lions as a redshirt junior in 2025 and made three tackles and a sack. He played in 12 games across three seasons at Texas A&M and made 11 tackles and two sacks. Listed at 6-5, 280, White is a three-star addition with at least one year of eligibility remaining.

James Williams, defensive line

Previous school: Florida State

Williams, 6-6, 262 pounds, spent 2025 at Florida State and the two previous years at Nebraska. He's played in 27 games across three years and recorded 37 tackles and 8.5 sacks. He has one year of eligibility remaining, plus a potential second, depending on NCAA junior college rulings. Williams spent his freshman year at Iowa Western Community College.

Dallas Winner-Johnson, linebacker

Previous school: Tulane

Winner-Johnson was an FCS Freshman All-American at Missouri State in 2024, where he started in 10 games and was second on the team with 62 tackles. Winner-Johnson, listed at 6-5, 230 pounds, appeared in 10 games for Tulane this year and made five tackles. He is a three-star addition with two years of eligibility left.

Caden Yates, long snapper

Previous school: North Texas

Yates was UNT's primary deep snapper the past two seasons. As a redshirt sophomore this season, Yates appeared in every game.

Wyatt Young, receiver

Previous school: North Texas

Young ranked third nationally in receiving yards (1,264) and 12th in receiving touchdowns (10) on 70 catches this year as a sophomore. Young, 6-foot, 195 pounds, also averaged more than 18 yards per reception and 90.3 receiving yards a game, which ranks seventh nationally. He is the No. 7 receiver in the transfer portal, according to On3, and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Outgoing transfers

Cameron Abshire, receiver

New school: UConn

Abshire transferred to OSU this past season from Division-II Emory and Henry University where he was an all-conference receiver. In Abshire’s one season in Stillwater, the redshirt junior caught 10 passes for 92 yards.

Jaden Allen-Hendrix, running back

New school: Coastal Carolina

Allen-Hendrix arrived in Stillwater in 2024 after a 2,000-plus-yard season as a high-school senior, but he never saw the field at OSU. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2024, then didn't play in 2025 because of an injury. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Chase Barry, punter

New school: UCLA

Barry only appeared in the season opener, making one punt for 52 yards. He spent his first three years with the Bruins and will return home for his final year of eligibility.

Banks Bowen, quarterback

New school: North Alabama

Bowen played in three games for the Cowboys as a true freshman this season, completing 3 of 5 passes for four yards along with four rushes for 28 yards. Bowen, the son of former OSU defensive coordinator Clint Bowen, used his redshirt and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

DeAndre Boykins, safety

New school:

Boykins was a midseason portal entry. He was productive in four seasons at North Carolina, appearing in 36 games with 14 starts, before transferring to OSU this spring. Boykins played in two games this season, mostly on special teams, before hitting the portal.

Chandavian Bradley, outside linebacker

New school: Coastal Carolina

Bradely played in 11 games for the Cowboys this season, recording three tackles. He redshirted as a freshman at Tennessee in 2023 then spent the 2024 season at Hutchinson Community College before enrolling at OSU this past spring.

Grayson Brousseau, tight end

New school: UCF

Brousseau began to make an impact for the Cowboys deeper into the season when the tight end room thinned out. The 6-5, 239-pound redshirt freshman transfer from Utah State caught seven passes for 45 yards with six of those catches coming in the final five games.

Tyler Brumfield, offensive line

New school: Eastern Michigan

Brumfield, 6-6, 319-pounds, was a first-team JUCO All-American at Snow College in 2024 before transferring to OSU. The redshirt junior did not appear in a game in his one year with the Cowboys.

Royal Capell, receiver

New school: UTEP

Capell played in 11 games this season as a true freshman and caught 10 passes for 47 yards. He was the No. 122 wide receiver prospect in the 2025 class and chose OSU over offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, Indiana and others. Capell has three years of eligibility remaining.

Kasen Carpenter, offensive line

New school: Kansas

Carpenter transferred from Tulsa this past offseason and made two starts and seven appearances as a redshirt sophomore.

Landyn Cleveland, safety

New school: UNLV

Cleveland played in all 12 games this season and recorded 33 tackles and a pair of pass break-ups. The sophomore also played in the final eight games of the 2024 season.

Michael Diatta, defensive line

New school:

Diatta played in 11 games this season and made nine tackles. He transferred to OSU from Virginia after four seasons and 35 appearances with the Cavaliers.

Davis Dotson, offensive line

New school:

Dotson appeared in 11 games this season as a redshirt junior and saw action in 20 games as a backup throughout his time in Stillwater.

Jaxson Duffield, long snapper

New school:

Duffield was a true freshman from Owasso who didn't appear in any games and redshirted.

DJ Dugar Jr., running back

New school:

Dugar redshirted as a freshman this season and didn't record any stats. He was the No. 30 running back in the 2025 class after breaking the single-season and career rushing records at Glenn HS in Texas.

Kyran Duhon, defensive end

New school: Tulsa

Duhon played in 11 games this season as a sophomore and made 16 tackles. He was a transfer from UTEP who had 43 tackles and seven sacks and appeared on several Freshman All-American Teams.

Ike Esonwune, linebacker

New school:

Esonwune was a redshirt sophomore who played in every game this season and became a bigger part of the defense as the season went on. He made 27 tackles and recovered a fumble.

Rodney Fields Jr., running back

New school: Kansas State

Fields was the Cowboys' most productive running back this season, gaining 614 yards with one touchdown on a team-high 124 carries. Fields, an in-state product, was a redshirt freshman this past season and one of OSU's top targets to keep in Stillwater.

Eric Fletcher, cornerback

New school: Wisconsin

Fletcher, an ECU transfer, played in all 12 games for the Cowboys this season as a redshirt freshman. He made 12 tackles and broke up three passes.

Zane Flores, quarterback

New school: Iowa State

Flores, 6-3, 215 pounds, started eight games for the Cowboys this season and threw for 1,490 yards, three touchdowns and seven interceptions. He made his first appearance this season after redshirting as a true freshman and being granted a medical hardship waiver in 2024.

Josh Ford, tight end

New school: Alabama

Ford was a midseason portal entry. As a freshman in 2024, Ford appeared in all 12 games with six starts, totaling 10 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound tight end had three receptions for 45 yards and a score in four starts this season before appearing on the availability report as "out" for the Arizona game. Ford has three years of eligibility remaining.

Gavin Freeman, receiver

New school: Baylor

Freeman was the top wide receiver for the Cowboys this season, catching 53 passes for 481 yards and four touchdowns as a redshirt junior. He was a late portal defection, announcing his decision Jan. 6. Freeman spent the past two seasons at OSU after transferring from OU in 2024.

Shea Freibaum, long snapper

New school: Texas A&M

Freibaum was a midseason portal entry and the first Cowboy to announce his decision, posting on social media Sept. 28, the day after OSU's loss to Baylor. He entered 2025 with 173 career long snaps and appeared as the starter in each of the first four games this season.

Draden Fullbright, cornerback

New school: UAB

Fullbright was a true freshman in 2025 and appeared in four games, recording a pair of tackles. He was the No. 75 corner in the Class of 2025.

Wendell Gregory, outside linebacker

New school: Kansas State

Gregory was one of the brightest spots of the Cowboys’ 1-11 season. The 6-3, 255-pound redshirt freshman recorded 27 tackles, four sacks and forced one fumble. His 12 tackles for loss ranked 45th nationally and was the most among all freshman during the regular season.

Tre Griffiths, receiver

New school: Hawai'i

Griffiths, 6-3, 211 pounds, was a four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 73 overall recruit from Texas. He redshirted as a freshman, only appearing in the season finale against Colorado, then played against UT Martin and Oregon. Griffiths recorded no stats.

Ryker Haff, offensive line

New school:

Haff, an Owasso product, redshirted this season as a true freshman and didn't appear in a game.

Camron Heard, receiver

New school:

Heard made eight appearances in three years at OSU and made two catches for 39 yards. He didn't appear in a game this season.

Hauss Hejny, quarterback

New school: Colorado State

Hejny played the first three drives of the season opener before suffering a season-ending injury. He threw a TD pass and ran for another in his one appearance with the Cowboys. The redshirt freshman has four years of eligibility remaining.

Jarrett Henry, offensive line

New school: UTSA

Henry was a backup offensive lineman for the Cowboys the past three seasons, and he appeared in 11 games this year as a redshirt junior after seeing no action the past two seasons.

Kalib Hicks, running back

New school:

Hicks, an OU transfer, was one of the Cowboys' top backs early in the season, carrying the ball 35 times for 119 yards the first two weeks of the season. After that, Hicks' playing time disappeared. He played in only five more games, with no more than three carries in any, and his last appearance was Oct. 25 against Texas Tech.

JK Johnson, cornerback

New school: Florida Atlantic

Johnson appeared in eight games this season as a backup. Before transferring to OSU in 2025, he played at Ohio State and LSU.

Temerrick Johnson, linebacker

New school:

Johnson appeared in two games, making one tackle against Houston. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

David Kabongo, safety

New school: Utah State

Kabongo was a midseason portal entry. The 5-10, 190-pound safety made 12 tackles through four games and recovered a fumble against Baylor. Kabongo played in the final seven games of the 2024 season, burning his redshirt, but he will maintain his redshirt this year as he enters the portal.

Austin Kawecki, offensive line

New school: Wisconsin

Kawecki was the starting center this season and played 720 snaps. The redshirt junior just completed his fourth season in Stillwater and proved himself on the O-line.

Jaylen Lloyd, receiver

New school: Florida

Lloyd was a midseason portal entry. He saw limited time at OSU and made one catch this season against Houston. He transferred from Nebraska this past offseason, where he had 492 receiving yards and three touchdowns in two seasons.

Nuku Mafi, offensive line

New school: Purdue

Mafi was one of the most consistent offensive linemen for the Cowboys this season as a redshirt freshman, starting in all 12 games. Mafi, 6-4, 325 pounds, started the season opener at right tackle before moving to left tackle for the rest of the year after Markell Samuel’s injury.

Taje McCoy, outside linebacker

New school: Georgia Tech

McCoy made 21 tackles and two sacks in 10 games as a redshirt sophomore this season. A Putnam City product, McCoy returned to Oklahoma this year after spending his first two seasons at Colorado.

Noah McKinney, offensive line

New school: TCU

McKinney was a midseason portal entry who announced his decision Oct. 16 but finished out the season with OSU. He played in 18 games in three seasons at UNLV before transferring to OSU this year, where he's been a consistent starter on the offensive line.

Will Monney, tight end

New school:

Monney played in four games before redshirting as a junior this season, catching three passes for 39 yards.

Armstrong Nnodim, defensive line

New School: Penn State

Nnodim made his first game appearances in 2025 as a redshirt freshman, playing in all 12 games. He recorded 11 tackles and a sack.

Jacobi Oliphant Jr., linebacker

New school: Kansas State

Oliphant was a 2024 signee who redshirted as a freshman and played in all 12 games this past season. He made 26 tackles with two sacks in 2025.

Gabe Panikowski, kicker

New school: Florida State

Panikowski was a midseason portal entry. He never played for the Cowboys after transferring in back in the spring. He was the 2024 Fred Mitchell Award winner, given annually to the nation's top non-FBS kicker, after a 15-for-15 season on field goal attempts at Idaho State.

Jaden Perez, receiver

New school:

Perez was the No. 77 wide receiver in the class of 2025 but saw no playing time as a true freshman. He chose OSU over offers from Miami, TCU, Texas Tech and others.

Carrington Pierce, cornerback

New school: USC

Pierce was a midseason portal entry. He is a junior college transfer who had three interceptions his freshman year at Chaffey College and chose OSU this spring over offers from Arizona, Nebraska, UCLA and others. He made no game appearances at OSU.

Jo Pierce, safety

New school: UAB

Pierce did not play in any games for the Cowboys as a true freshman this year. He chose OSU over offers from Missouri, Florida, Penn State and others.

Shamar Rigby, receiver

New school: Wisconsin

Rigby was third on the team with 351 receiving yards and a touchdown on 25 catches. He followed his former receivers coach Cory Patterson to OSU from Purdue, where he played in all 12 games as a freshman for the Boilermakers. The 6-3 sophomore caught five passes for 52 yards in the season finale.

Michael Riles, defensive end

New school: Prairie View A&M

Riles was a midseason portal entry. He didn't make a game appearance in his short time in Stillwater. He was a four-star prospect in the Class of 2025, according to ESPN, ranking as the No. 35 defensive end in the class. Riles chose OSU over reported offers from Florida, Nebraska, Texas and others.

Markell Samuel, offensive line

New school: Georgia Tech

Samuel, 6-4, 305 pounds, was a big get in the offseason, coming from Appalachian State, where he made 11 starts at left tackle. The senior started the season opener at left tackle before a freak injury in the walkthrough before the Oregon game ended his season.

Mason Schubert, quarterback

New school:

Schubert was a freshman product from Stillwater High. He committed to Southwest Oklahoma State before joining the Cowboys after spring practice. Schubert made no appearances with the Cowboys.

Grant Seagren, offensive line

New school: Northwestern

Seagren was a midseason portal entry who played for OSU the rest of the season. Seagren, who transferred to OSU from Nebraska this spring, was thrown into the starting lineup when starting left tackle Markell Samuel was injured before the Oregon game. He became the permanent starter at right tackle.

Talyn Shettron, receiver

New school: Louisiana Tech

Shettron played in 20 games and made one start, totaling 21 catches for 354 yards and two touchdowns. He appeared in four games as a freshman in 2022 and redshirted, then played in the first seven games of 2023 before an injury ended his season. He made nine appearances in 2024 and missed the entire 2025 season with an injury.

Dylan Smith, safety

New school: Memphis

Smith was a midseason portal entry. He was a key component of the OSU defense the past the past two years. Smith, the younger brother of cornerback Cam Smith, started each of the first four games this year at safety and redshirted. He has 77 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two interceptions in 2 1/3 seasons in Stillwater.

Ayo Shotomide-King, receiver

New school:

Shotomide-King began his career at Snow College before transferring to OSU in 2024. He played in all 12 games in 2024 and made five catches for 48 yards. This past season, as a redshirt junior, he appeared in eight games and recorded no stats.

Gage Stanaland, offensive line

New school: Georgia State

Stanaland appeared in six games on the O-line this season as a redshirt sophomore. He saw no game action his first two seasons in the program.

Carson Su'esu'e, tight end

New school: New Mexico State

Su'esu'e played in two games for the Cowboys this season as a true freshman and recorded no stats. He enrolled at BYU this spring as a linebacker, then transferred to OSU before the fall.

Lavaka Taukeiaho, offensive line

New school:

Taukeiaho spent his first three years at Weber State before transferring to OSU for the 2025 season. He appeared in eight games for the Cowboys as a redshirt junior.

Darius Thomas, linebacker

New school:

Thomas arrived at OSU after starting 13 games at Western Kentucky in 2024. He did not appear in a game at OSU as a redshirt junior.

De'Marion Thomas, defensive tackle

New school: Houston

Thomas, a Tulsa native, transferred from Vanderbilt this past season and appeared in the first four games with the Cowboys before redshirting the remainder of the year. He accounted for 13 tackles. In two years at Vanderbilt, Thomas made 13 starts with 41 tackles and a sack. He will be a redshirt junior with two years of eligibility remaining.

Poasa Utu, outside linebacker

New school:

Utu played in all 12 games this season and posted seven tackles and a sack during his redshirt sophomore campaign. He was ESPN’s No. 53 linebacker in the class of 2023.

Sesi Vailahi, running back

New school:

Vailahi has been a staple in the running back rotation the past two seasons. He appeared in the final four games of the 2023 season, including the Big 12 title game and Texas Bowl, then played in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2024. This season, Vailahi, 5-9, 206 pounds, rushed 42 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

Jordan Vyborny, tight end

New school: Iowa State

Vyborny redshirted this season as a freshman while recovering from an injury he suffered his senior year of high school.

Matthew Wade, offensive line

New school: Utah State

Wade arrived at OSU as a walk-on freshman in 2022 then took two years off for a religious mission. He returned as a redshirt freshman in 2025 and played in one game.
