Updated SEC football standings following loaded Week 4 slate

Week 4 of the 2026 season has now passed, and as a result, all 16 SEC teams have officially begun conference play.
When taking a look at the updated conference standings as well, there are now four teams tied atop the SEC at 2-0, though at-least one of those teams will drop out of the conversation in Week 5. That is because Alabama and Mississippi State, both of which are 2-0, will meet in Starkville this upcoming Saturday in a Top 25 showdown.
Elsewhere coming out of Week 4, there are now seven SEC teams who are currently winless in conference play, two of which are 0-2 in South Carolina and Texas A&M. Four teams also stand at 1-1 in SEC action, one of which lost for the first time to a conference opponent Saturday.
Following is a look at the updated SEC conference standings coming out of Week 4.

- T-1. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State (2-0)
- 5. Texas (1-0)
- T-6. Ole Miss, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU (1-1)
- T-10. Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Oklahoma (0-1)
- T-15. South Carolina, Texas A&M (0-2)
