Updating LSU football's recruiting class ranking after heater

LSU football remains hot on the recruiting trail for the 2027 class. Since Monday, LSU head coach Lane Kiffin has added five commitments to place LSU's class among the best in the nation.
According to Rivals' Industry Rankings, the Tigers boast the No. 9 recruiting class in the 2027 cycle. It is a 14-spot jump since Monday. They are No. 4 among SEC teams, trailing only Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Florida.
Ahmad Hudson, a five-star tight end, headlines the class. He is one of five players who hail from Louisiana. LSU holds commitments from 13 players, 10 of whom hold distinctions of four or more from Rivals' Industry Rankings.

The class leans heavily on offense. Four-star quarterback, Peyton Houston, elected to stay in his home state and play for LSU. The state's top running back, Trey Martin, committed to the Tigers on Wednesday as the group's third running back. The Tigers also hold commitments from four-star wide receivers Ah'Mari Stevens and Cade Cooper.
