USA TODAY Network 2025 All-SEC football team, awards

Texas A&M may have led the way in total honorees, but Vanderbilt — the darling of this year’s college football season — maintained its status on the 2025 All-SEC team, voted on by the writers who cover the league for the USA TODAY Sports Network.

The Aggies had a league-best five All-SEC selections, but the Commodores had a pair of honorees and won two individual superlatives.

Quarterback Diego Pavia was named SEC Player of the Year and Clark Lea earned SEC Coach of the Year following Vanderbilt’s 10-2 regular season. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was named SEC Newcomer of the Year.

Pavia, the first Heisman finalist in Vanderbilt history, led the SEC with 4,018 total yards and 36 touchdowns. Lea guided Vanderbilt’s first-ever 10-win season. Chambliss, a Division II transfer, threw for 3,016 yards and rushed for another 470 while scoring 24 touchdowns and leading the Rebels to their first College Football Playoff appearance ever.

Pavia was one of seven players unanimously voted All-SEC. Eight teams had multiple All-SEC selections and were among 12 with at least one all-conference honor. Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State and South Carolina were the only four SEC schools not represented.

Here’s a look at this year’s team, as voted on by 14 writers who cover the SEC.
