USA TODAY Sports' final 2025 grades for Florida football, SEC

The final pieces of the 2025 college football campaign fell into place on Monday after the Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Miami Hurricanes on Monday night to earn their first-ever national championship.

Now that the dust has settled, it is time to look back and reflect on six months of gridiron grind that led to that Orange Bowl finale. USA TODAY Sports writer Paul Myerberg took on the task of grading all 136 FBS teams, including the Florida Gators and their SEC peers.

Nobody expects high marks for the Orange and Blue after firing Billy Napier midseason and finishing 4-8, representing the program’s fourth sub-.500 finish in five years. Predictably, Florida earned a final “D” grade for its efforts on the field, making the Gators one of five schools to finish below average “C”; only the LSU Tigers scored worse.

The Southeastern Conference was headlined by the Ole Miss Rebels and Vanderbilt Commodores, who finished third and 15th in the final US LBM Coaches Poll, respectively. Take a look below at how all 16 member schools fared.
