The Alabama Crimson Tide will be under the bright lights of prime time and in the national spotlight again in Week 11 of the 2025 college football season. The Crimson Tide are hosting the LSU Tigers Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama (7-1 overall, 5-0 SEC) is ranked No. 4 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, as well as the initial College Football Playoff rankings. Coach Kalen DeBoer’s team has won seven in a row after a 29-22 come-from-behind victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks on Oct. 25. The Tide were idle last week.
Ty Simpson threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns while completing 24 of his 43 passes against South Carolina. Alabama rallied from eight points down with under 2:30 to play in Columbia for its first fourth-quarter comeback this season.
LSU (5-3, 2-3) is also coming off a bye after being blown out 49-25 by No. 3 Texas A&M. The Tigers’ defense gave up 426 yards to Marcel Reed and the Aggies, who led by 31 points until garbage time. LSU fired coach Brian Kelly the following day and named Frank Wilson interim coach.

Who has the edge? USA TODAY Sports’ prediction for Alabama vs LSU football
On Thursday, USA TODAY Sports’ team of college football experts unveiled their weekly picks and predictions for every top 25 team in Week 11, including No. 4 Alabama and its game against unranked LSU.
The six-man panel of Paul Myerberg, Eddie Timanus, Matt Hayes, Blake Toppmeyer, Erick Smith and Jordan Mendoza all see the Crimson Tide beating the Tigers Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
What is Alabama football’s series history vs LSU?
Alabama leads the all-time series with LSU, 57-27-5. The Crimson Tide have won 12 of the past 14 head-to-head meetings dating back to the BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 9, 2012 in New Orleans when Alabama shut out the Tigers, 21-0.
While the series has provided an oddity with the road team often having the advantage, that’s primarily due to Alabama’s incredible dominance at Tiger Stadium through the years.
The Tide own a 30-10-3 record against LSU in road games, as well as a 26-17-2 mark against the Tigers in home games between Bryant-Denny Stadium and Birmingham’s Legion Field.
Since home games for the series shifted exclusively to Tuscaloosa beginning in 1988, Alabama is 9-9 against LSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Tide, however, have won five of the last six meetings against LSU in Tuscaloosa.
