Last week, USC came in at No. 23 in the college football AP Poll. After taking down Nebraska on the road Saturday night, the Trojans rose three spots, and are now ranked No. 20.

USC is one of six Big Ten teams in the top 25. Ohio State, Indiana, and Oregon held firm at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6, respectively. Meanwhile, Michigan remained at No. 21, while Washington entered the rankings at No. 24. Notably, Iowa was the first team outside of the top 25.

In addition Notre Dame, who beat USC in South Bend two weeks ago, rose two spots to No. 10. While it may be difficult for USC fans to root for the hated Irish, Notre Dame continuing to win may actually help the Trojans, as it makes the loss in South Bend look more respectable.

Of USC’s final four games, just one is against a ranked opponent: November 22 at Oregon. With three home games remaining against unranked teams, it would be a massive disappointment if the Trojans do not finish the year at least 9-3.
