Vanderbilt climbs in US LBM Coaches Poll after beating Auburn in overtime

The Vanderbilt Commodores escaped Auburn's upset bid on Saturday by defeating the Tigers, 45-38, in overtime. The win not only increased their chances to earn a College Football Playoff bid, but gives them a bump in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Commdores enter Week 12 at No. 14 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll released Sunday, up from No. 16 ahead of its Week 11 game with Auburn. The win over Auburn, mixed in with losses by Louisville and Virginia, allowed Vanderbilt to take the two-spot leap heading into their second bye week of the season. The Commodores will close out the season at home against Kentucky, and on the road at No. 20 Tennessee.
Nine SEC teams were included in this week's ranking, with three residing in the top five. Texas A&M is the SEC's highest-ranked team this week at No. 3, followed by Alabama at No. 4 and Georgia at No. 5. Ole Miss (No. 7) and Texas (No. 10) round out the top 10. Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee are in the top 20, and Missouri rounds out the SEC's representation at No. 24.
