Micah DeBose, an offensive line transfer from Alabama, has committed to Vanderbilt football, he announced on social media Jan. 11.
DeBose, who is listed by Alabama as 6-5 and 319 pounds, was a 4-star recruit coming out of Theodore High School in Mobile, Alabama. He appeared in one game in his redshirt season in 2025, giving him the full four years of eligibility remaining.
DeBose is Vanderbilt's second transfer from Alabama, joining wide receiver Cole Adams. The Commodores also landed CJ Jackson, a transfer from LSU, continuing a trend of taking players from other SEC schools who didn't get much playing time previously.
The Commodores have needed help along the offensive line with Chase Mitchell, Jordan White, Isaia Glass and others moving on. DeBose is in contention to be one of the starting guards in 2026.
