Virginia Tech football: Hokies flip OL Benjamin Eziuka

The Virginia Tech Hokies are blazing hot on the recruiting trail, and with one day before the early signing period begins, they remain busy.

On Tuesday, three-star offensive lineman Benjamin Eziuka flipped his commitment from Penn State to Virginia Tech. Eziuka is the latest former Penn State commit to join head coach James Franklin in Blacksburg.

Eziuka is a 6-foot-3, 315-pound interior offensive line prospect from Novi, Michigan, where he plays at Central Catholic. Eziuka committed to Penn State back in the summer, but once Franklin was fired, he reopened his recruitment. Once the Hokies hired Franklin, they became a top destination.

Eziuka is the seventh offensive line commitment for the 2026 recruiting class. He is the only one who profiles as a center or guard at the next level, which was needed. Of course, some of the tackle prospects may move inside, but Eziuka is a natural candidate to play on the interior. The Nittany Lions considered Eziuka as a center. He can play any of the three inside spots.

He essentially replaces Adrian Hamilton, who flipped his commitment from Virginia Tech to Michigan on Tuesday.

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Eziuka, who is one of the state of Michigan’s top prospects.

Welcome home, Benjamin.
