Meet the Blue FCU Football Player of the Week nominees from playoff football (Nov. 21-22):
- Isaiah Cronk, Windsor LB: The Wizards routed Pueblo South in the 3A quarterfinals, using defense and special teams to keep the Colts in check. Cronk was key in both phases, making a team-high seven tackles with an interception and a blocked punt that he also scooped up for a touchdown.
- Adrian Czyszczon, Windsor RB: On the offensive side, Windsor dominated with a steady run game that ate up major chunks of yards. Their senior running back was the workhorse, as Czyszczon ran for 187 yards (6.4 per carry) and scored three touchdowns on the ground in the 56-14 win.
- Tanner Gray, Wellington QB/DE: The Eagles senior QB finished his home career with a big day in a 29-7 semifinal win over The Classical Academy. Gray accounted for 228 total yards (112 rushing, 116 passing) with three TDs (two rushing, one passing) and made five tackles with three QB hurries on defense.
- Brayton Meglen, Wellington RB/WR/DB: It was a dominant, two-way breakout game on the big stage for the dynamic sophomore. Meglen ran for 91 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 88 yards, including an electric 80-yard TD in the semifinal win. He also grabbed an interception to go along with a pass deflection at defensive back.
- Ethan Thurnes, Wellington LB: The Eagles defense held an explosive TCA offense to under 200 yards with just seven points in the semifinal win, and the junior was a prominent part of it. Thurnes had eight tackles (seven solo) with a sack and two QB hurries as Wellington dominated up front.
