South Shore Tech’s Dillon O’Brien has been voted the South Shore High School Football Defensive/Special Teams Player of the Week.
The sophomore received 25% of votes to earn the honor. In a 42-20 win over Monomoy, he returned a kick for a touchdown. He also ran for 138 yards, 2 scores and hauled in a TD pass.

Leo Steinberg, Sr., Quincy
Steinberg helped the Presidents pitch a shutout in a 27-0 win over Pembroke as he tallied 6 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and scored a defensive TD. He rushed 12 times for 172 yards and 2 TDs on offense.
Chris DiMeo, Sr., Scituate
DiMeo had 2 interceptions, including one returned for a score, in a 21-7 win over Hanover.
Tyler Stelljes, Soph., Scituate
Stelljes tooked the opening kickoff 70 yards for a TD in a 21-7 win over Hanover.
Shane McDonald, Sr., Scituate
McDonald had an interception and 85 yards receiving in a 33-14 win over North Quincy.
Tyson Kimbrough-Farmer, Sr., Blue Hills
Tyson Kimbrough-Farmer returned a fumble 100 yards for a TD and also added a 20-yard TD run in a 62-22 win over Southeastern.
Jake Marcell, Sr., Canton
Marcell returned an interception 81 yards for a TD in a 28-16 win over Mansfield.
J.D. Buiel, Sr., Duxbury
Buiel had 12 tackles, 3 for a loss, in a 48-0 win over Whitman-Hanson.
