Vote! Who should be Maps Credit Union Salem-Keizer area boys Athlete of the Week?

Fall sports are wrapping up day by day. Boys athletes across football, soccer and cross-country are closing their seasons with state meets and tournaments and collecting accolades along the way.

Every week, you get to vote for the Statesman Journal’s Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Maps Credit Union.

Cirino finished third in the OSAA 5A state championship race Nov. 8 at Lane Community College in Eugene,, where he ran his 5,000-meter race in 15 minutes, 13.9 seconds.

The Buckaroos' junior quarterback scored two rushing touchdowns and threw two touchdowns Nov. 14 in St. Paul's 36-16 win over Clatskanie in the OSAA 2A state quarterfinals.

Mariano scored six touchdowns Nov. 14 for the No. 12 Cougars as they advanced to the OSAA 3A state semifinals following a 44-29 victory over No. 13 Douglas.

The junior scored the game-winning goal Nov. 11 in the Huskies' 1-0 state semifinal victory over Henley to advance to the OSAA 4A state championship game.
