Alabama and Georgia are set to square off in a primetime night game slot at 6:30, so we have a LOOOONNNNGGG day ahead of us waiting for that clash of the best of college football.

So, while you wait, here is a sampling of the games to tune into today. All times are in Central Time.

11:00 am

Texas A&M vs #14 Missouri

The original defectors from the Big 12 are kicking things off early. While it’s always fun to root for an Aggie loss, it probably helps the Alabama cause in the long run if they can beat the Tigers. But not by a whole lot, since Missouri being good also makes Alabama’s win over Mississippi State look even better.

#7 Indiana vs Nebraska

While this one looks like a nothing-burger in the rankings, the Huskers are actually one of the undefeated teams still kicking, and arguably should be ranked. This will be the first time either Nubber or IU will have played another team with a pulse, so we get to see if either is legit.

South Carolina vs #16 Florida(11:30 Bonus game to swap to during commercials)

It wasn’t long ago Florida was all the talk of the town until they got blown out last week. South Carolina rebounded after a bad loss to Alabama – can they rally again to down the Gators and keep Shane Beamer’s life support going just a little longer?

2:30 am

#21 UCLA vs #13 Oregon

The Bruins are surprisingly still undefeated, but Oregon is a different beast. The Ducks still haven’t really recovered from their bad loss a couple of weeks ago, though, even with a nice win over USC. If UCLA can pull off this win to stay undefeated, they’ll quickly become one of the big stories in college football right now.

#1 Texas vs Oklahoma

Oklahoma has been shockingly inept due to John Mateer seemingly forgetting how to football, but they’re still a team that many were predicting to be a playoff contender. That’s probably out of the water now, but a win over their rival this week would be the only thing that could save those hopes. And while Texas is #1 right now, does anyone truly trust them?

Comment away as you watch, and we’ll have a new open thread for the Bama game later.
