Four-star Peoria High School wide receiver Dontay Tyson is set to make his college commitment on Friday, June 5, after his official visit to Washington concluded this past weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Arizona native previously had scheduled a second official visit to Texas A&M for June 12-13, but it appears that may no longer take place. Tyson shared a post on Instagram on Monday morning that revealed he'll choose between Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, and UW on Friday at 5:00 p.m. PT, with his commitment airing on the "Major Sports Show" podcast.

Early indications during his trip to Seattle this past weekend were that the Huskies made a strong case to land the No. 6-ranked prospect from the Grand Canyon State in the 2027 class, per 247Sports' rankings, which would give Jedd Fisch and UW three of the top ten-ranked prospects from Arizona should Tyson pick the Big Ten school Friday.

Tyson made the trip north this weekend with a trio of other Arizona high schoolers—all of whom are committed to UW—with four-star Desert Edge HS quarterback Blake Roskopf and his teammate, four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, on campus, along with four-star Sandra Day O'Connor running back Jeremy Adeyanju.

The staff is also making a push for three-star Mountain View (Mesa, Ariz.) offensive tackle Tye Kennedy, the son of College Football Hall of Famer and ex-Husky Lincoln Kennedy, along with Basha High School's DaJohn Yarborough, a four-star interior offensive lineman.

Should Tyson commit to the Huskies it would mark the third four-star receiver pledge for Fisch and WR coach Kevin Cummings, joining Sidney and four-star Sumner (Wash.) standout Braylon Pope, another strong wave of pass-catchers to add to an already young core that consists of sophomore Dezmen Roebuck—also an Arizona native—and three four-star freshmen; Mason James, Jordan Clay and Trez Davis, to build upon over the next two to three years.
