The Washington Huskies are nowhere near done adding reinforcements to the defensive line in the 2027 class.
Jedd Fisch's coaching staff has been showing a lot of interest in three-star edge rusher Josh Christensen from Lake Oswego High School in Oregon, and following an unofficial visit to spring practice on Saturday, the Huskies officially became the 14th program to extend a scholarship to the 6-foot-6, 250-pound prospect, who is ranked as the No. 4 player in the state and No. 90 edge rusher in the nation by the 247Sports Composite.
The visit to Seattle was Christensen's second in as many months, after he was also on campus in early March for Junior Day. Since then, he's set up a trio of official visits: two to Big Ten programs, Illinois and Northwestern, while the Washington State Cougars are also set to host him for a visit.

Coach Dan Lanning and Washington's arch-rival Oregon Ducks have also hosted Christensen on an unofficial visit in recent months, but have yet to extend a scholarship offer to the big-bodied prospect, who was named Three Rivers League Defensive Lineman of the Year during his junior season.
On film, Christensen displays a lot of raw talent that could translate to either the edge or the interior at the next level. A big, strong player with a high motor, natural power, and plenty of athleticism, if he can continue to refine his technique, he could develop into a versatile threat in defensive coordinator Ryan Walters' scheme.
As part of the No. 8-ranked recruiting class by 247Sports, the Huskies hold commitments from a pair of defensive linemen: four-star defensive tackle Jon Ioane and three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei, with an expectation that position coach Jason Kaufusi is looking to add three or four more prospects.
