Washington Football In Pursuit of Premier 2028 California LB Prospect

With the Washington Huskies continuing to build momentum in their 2028 class, they now find themselves in the hunt for another blue-chip prospect on the West Coast. Jedd Fisch's coaching staff is joined by a plethora of fellow Big Ten programs in the recruitment of four-star linebacker Landon Miller, who recently announced his scheduled visits for this fall.
While Fisch and inside linebackers coach Brian Odom are not scheduled to host the De La Salle High School star, they are certainly still in the hunt.
In late August, the junior announced his scheduled visits for this fall, making stops at California, USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Ohio State.
After being offered by UW in early May, Miller has since received offers from UCLA, Notre Dame, Michigan, LSU, and Wisconsin. Although the highly touted prospect is not scheduled to make stops at all of those programs this fall, there are more visits still in the works, according to 247Sports's Blair Angulo.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the junior is the No. 10-ranked player in California and the No. 11-rated linebacker in his class after posting 38 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception during his sophomore season.
Listed at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, the athletic playmaker demonstrates the ability to invite contact and create havoc in the backfield, while also having the speed and ball-hawking capabilities to create extra possessions for the offense. Based on the current level of experience in the Huskies' linebacker room, landing a player of Miller's caliber would help maintain the high-level of play seen in recent years at the position.
With Washington's history of pulling high-end talent out of California, Fisch and his defensive staff are looking to make another big splash by beating out some of the premier programs in the country for one of the nation's best linebacker prospects.
