Washington football makes changes to first official visit weekend

The first batch of official visitors is on campus for Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies coaching staff; however, not all of the initially reported visitors wound up making the trip.

The biggest name in that group is four-star cornerback Jailen Hill, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback out of St. John Bosco High School in Southern California, who is ranked as the nation's No. 252 overall prospect and No. 23 safety in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite. He has rescheduled his trip for the final weekend on June 19, but with a commitment date slated for June 9 following a trip to Nebraska, where he holds a crystal ball, there's a chance he may not make his way to Montlake.

Washington's coaching staff appeared to be ready to welcome several defensive backs, with a report from Rivals' Brandon Huffman stating that three-star nickel target Jeovanni Henley from Junipero Serra High School in Northern California was planning on visiting campus.

But the 6-foot, 165-pound did not make the trip, which may signal that the Huskies will not be the choice when he makes his college commitment on Saturday, June 6, out of a final five that also includes BYU, California, Penn State, and Texas.

Reports had also circulated that three-star edge rusher Jag Ioane from Orem High School in Utah was expected to be in attendance on Friday. However, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound pass rusher will instead arrive on June 5 before making trips to in-state programs BYU and Utah in the following weeks.

Three-star cornerback Evan Mack from Crean Lutheran High School in Southern California will also be in attendance on June 5, where he'll be flanked by two other priority targets for secondary coach John Richardson: four-star cornerback Censere Gaylord and four-star safety Jaden Walk-Green.
