The Washington Huskies are among the four finalists for the mammoth three-star Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial offensive tackle Ben Lowther, one of the top offensive linemen from the Grand Canyon State in the 2027 recruiting class.
Lowther, a 6-foot-8, 335-pound prospect, who is ranked as the nation's No. 44 offensive tackle by 247Sports, listed Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, and UW, an old Pac-12 turned ACC vs Big 12 vs Big Ten battle for the No. 10-ranked recruit from the state of Arizona.
The Huskies have been successful pulling recruits from the Grand Canyon State since Jedd Fisch took the reins of the program in January 2024, and appear well-positioned to land the coveted offensive tackle, though Fisch and offensive line coach Michael Switzer won't be the last coaches to host Lowther for an official visit later this year.

The staggering tackle, who cut his list of 12 total offers down to four, will first visit Arizona State on May 1-3, giving Sun Devils coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff the opening impression on Lowther before he wraps up his last visit on June 19 to Arizona.
In between the two in-state trips, Lowther has scheduled an official visit to Stanford, where he had been committed before backing off his pledge in January, for May 29 and UW for June 5-7, though he could wind up making his commitment before his trips are concluded, which puts heavy emphasis on the April evaluation period to put the full court press on the coveted lineman.
Currently, the Huskies don't hold any commitments from offensive linemen in the '27 class, although there are several high-priority targets, including five-star New Jersey prospect Oluwasemilore Olubobola and three-star Valor Christian (Colorado) interior offensive lineman Reis Russell, among the recruits at the top of the board alongside Lowther.
UW has 10 verbal commits in the 2027 class, which ranks No. 6 in the country based on 247Sports team rankings, with all but three — four-star wide receivers Zerek Sidney and Braylon Pope, and four-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju — being on the defensive side of the ball.
