In early 2026, T.K. Cunningham moved from Georgia to Arizona to finish his prep football career at Basha High School, the alma mater of Washington Huskies star quarterback Demond Williams Jr.

The cross-country switch opened the door for Washington to extend a formal offer to the 6-foot-5, 230-pound edge on Thursday, becoming the No. 54 offer to the three-star recruit in the 2027 class.

Cunningham received an offer from Arizona in November 2022, when now-UW coach Jedd Fisch and senior director of player personnel Matt Doherty were still in Tucson, which helps the Huskies’ recruiting efforts to make a late push in his recruitment. At Greyson High School in Georgia last year, Cunningham registered 15 total tackles, 6 for loss, 4 sacks, and 2 passes defended in 12 games as a junior.

Over the past three years, since Fisch arrived in Seattle, the Huskies have made significant inroads at Basha, with Williams being by far the most notable.

With UW also pushing hard for four-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough, and hosting him for an official visit June 19, there could be an opening for the Big Ten program to either get him on campus for an official when his Basha teammate visits—which would require Cunningham to reschedule or move his current Missouri official that same weekend—or squeeze him in for a mid-week official before the end of June.

Although his three-star ranking by both 247Sports and On3 doesn’t jump off the screen, Cunningham’s frame and upside are hard to come by, especially out west. Cunningham also has official visits scheduled to Purdue (May 29), Florida State (June 5), and Kentucky (June 12), along with his trip to Missouri (June 19).
