The Washington Huskies were among the first batch of schools to extend an offer to 2028 four-star Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School defensive lineman Isaac Kalubi Lukuni.

Now, Jedd Fisch's coaching staff appears poised to benefit from that decision early with a potential unofficial visit in the works for when UW hosts Washington State on September 6 for the 2026 season opener.

At 6-foot-3 and 280-pound the Ontario, Canada-turned-Rabun Gap, Georgia—roughly two hours northeast of Atlanta—native proved to be a force for opposing Peach State offensive linemen as a sophomore. Lukuni recorded 73 tackles, 24 for loss, and 15 sacks, which caught the attention of over 30 schools, including UW.

The Huskies offered Lukuni in mid-February, and since then numerous other Power Four programs have joined the hunt, including Clemson, fellow Big Ten rivals Michigan—which came during a spring unofficial visit—Notre Dame, and most recently, defending national champions Indiana.

UW coach Jedd Fisch and his staff have continued to make inroads with several Georgia prospects in the 2028 class and beyond, with Lukuni being one of the main examples.

Though no commits have yielded from the offers out in the past few classes, the program has proven able to go into Texas, New Jersey, and Florida for elite prospects, with the Peach State being the next wall to come down.

Lukuni would be a strong start, even just getting him on campus for an unofficial visit this fall, as a strong and relentless defensive tackle. On tape, it's easy to see why nearly three dozen programs seek the Georgia defender even though he's more than a year away from signing with any school.

The rising junior is ranked as the No. 150 overall recruit in the 2028 class by the 247Sports Composite and the No. 19 defensive line recruit in next year's cycle.
