The Washington Huskies have entered the discussion for one of the nation's highest-rated quarterbacks in the 2027 class, four-star Jake Nawrot.
According to a report from 247Sports' Tom Loy (subscription required), Jedd Fisch's program is one of several that is expected to receive a visit from the 6-foot-4, 200-pound product of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for a spring practice on April 7.
Nawrot, who is ranked as the nation's No. 40 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback by the 247Sports Composite, holds 20 offers, with Iowa, Kentucky, and Oregon at the forefront of his recruitment. However, as he continues his meteoric rise up the rankings after his first year as a starter and winning Alpha Dog at the Elite 11 in Indianapolis, the Huskies have begun a push for his services.

During his junior season, Nawrot completed over 71 percent of his passes for 3,078 yards and 41 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He also added 124 yards on the ground with 8 touchdowns, showing off the mobility and athleticism that Fisch desires to run his offense effectively.
"Big and athletic one-year starter with a high-powered arm and excellent football character," 247Sports' Andrew Ivins wrote in his evaluation. "Can get the ball accurately to all three levels and will take advantage of coverage lapses while working off play-action in a pro-style attack…Likes to fire from a sturdy base, but will slide away from pressure and make accurate tosses on the move with his balance and coordination."
"Not one to take many risks (just 2 interceptions as a junior) and displays the confidence to challenge tight windows over the middle with his situational awareness…Might lack game reps compared to some of his peers, but aced an in-person evaluation in advance of senior year and should be viewed as a true late-bloomer with a monster ceiling given the size, vision, and precision."
As the Huskies continue their search for a signal caller in the 2027 class, Nawrot could quickly rise to the top of Fisch and quarterbacks coach JP Losman's board alongside four-stars Blake Roskopf and Sione Kaho.
