The Washington Huskies are looking to add a significant amount of depth to the defensive line from the high school ranks in the 2027 class, and on Tuesday, Jedd Fisch's coaching staff set an official visit with an intriguing prospect who is beginning to see an increased amount of attention in the West, three-star edge rusher Jag Ioane.

Ioane, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect from Orem High School in Utah, who is ranked as the nation's No. 73 edge rusher and No. 11 player in the state by the 247Sports Composite, is set to take an official visit to Montlake on May 29.

That is the first of three official visits he has set up for the summer months from his eight offers, as Ioane is also set to check out BYU on June 11 and Utah on June 19.

Ioane is one of five prospects currently set to take their official visit to Washington that weekend, alongside four-star safety Gavin Williams, four-star running backs Elijah Kimble and Jeremy Adeyanju, and three-star defensive line commit Matamatagi Uiagalelei. However, as of this moment, Ioane might be the lone defensive lineman on campus, as Uiagalelei is mulling moving his visit to June 5, so he can join his Mater Dei High School teammate, Montana Toilolo.

As the Huskies continue to scour the country for reinforcements along the defensive line, Ioane, who recorded 31 tackles, 10 for loss, 6 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles during his junior season, could turn into a priority target for outside linebackers coach Aaron Van Horn thanks to his explosive first step.

Washington has put itself in a good position to reel in several of its top targets along the defensive line, and is mainly looking for instant impact pieces like four-star edge rusher Zane Rowe, but bringing on Ioane as a developmental piece would help add to the depth Fisch is looking for up front.
