Washington Football to Host Coveted 2028 Georgia DL For Apple Cup

In the span of less than six months, Woodward Academy defensive lineman Tory Clark will have made two trips from Georgia to Seattle to get a sense of what the Washington Huskies have to offer.

Clark, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive tackle from Atlanta, Georgia, visited UW back in June, a month after he added the Big Ten program to his fast-growing list of offers. Since his trip to the Pacific Northwest, schools like Georgia, Michigan, and Mississippi State have joined the hunt—the first two of which are also on the visit docket for the Peach State native this fall.

When Jedd Fisch and the Huskies open the 2026 season at Husky Stadium against Washington State in the 118th Apple Cup, numerous top targets will be on the sideline, including Clark. He's the second recruit from Georgia who is expected to be in attendance on September 6, alongside four-star Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School Isaac Kalubi Lukuni, who recently confirmed his upcoming visit.

"My school schedule allowed for me to get away for the weekend, so I wanted to get out to UW early to see the environment and how amazing it truly is on game day," Clark said. "The coaches also constantly reach out showing love to me and my family, insisting on us coming to see game day in Seattle."

During his first trip to Seattle on June 4, the consensus three-star recruit met with Huskies' defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters, while director of recruiting Marcus Griffin has taken a significant role in Clark's recruitment.

After his second upcoming visit for UW's season opener, Clark has also scheduled game-day visits to Arizona State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Oregon, and Virginia Tech, according to a report from 247Sports.

Clark proved to be a disruptive force as a pass rusher for Woodward Academy as a sophomore, and also more than holds up against the run, which is why 26 schools and counting have offered the coveted Georgia recruit.
