For the first time since early March, four-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy cornerback Censere Gaylord is set to make a return trip to Seattle this weekend for his official visit to Washington.
The 6-foot, 170-pound junior previously came up for the Huskies‘ massive Junior Day in early March, which ended up laying the foundation for Jedd Fisch and the UW staff to be one of four finalists for the former Bishop Alemany High School product.
Gaylord, who began his high school career in Southern California in 2023, made the move to the Sunshine State to play for IMG Academy as a sophomore, joining one of the premier prep football programs in the country, and as a result expanded his recruitment to include Auburn, Georgia, and Georgia Tech, the other three schools the four-star has official visits scheduled to.
The Yellow Jackets and fourth-year coach Brent Key hosted Gaylord for his first official on May 29, with trips to Athens (June 12-13) and Auburn (June 19-20) slated for after his upcoming trip to UW this weekend.

On the heels of the Huskies adding four-star wide receiver Tre Moore out of Texas, four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane from California, and four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf from Arizona, checking the Florida box is all that is missing, relatively speaking, for the staff in the 2027 class.
Being that Gaylord, ranked as the No. 112 overall prospect and No. 13 CB—per 247Sports’ rankings—in this year’s class, and is a West Coast native, there’s more than just a hat-on-the-table hope for UW when it comes to the four-star.
Secondary coach John Richardson has been tracking Gaylord since he arrived with Fisch in Seattle back in 2024, being the sixth offer for the former California native that May. The only other staff that can stake that claim is Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs, who offered one day after UW, while Georgia Tech joined the hunt officially in January 2025, with Auburn being the last under first-year coach Alex Golesh.
If the Huskies and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters can do enough to sell the path taken by sophomore corner Dylan Robinson, the Big Ten program should be well-positioned to secure one of the better overall defensive backs in the 2027 class when all is said and done.
