The Washington Huskies are expecting a large contingent of high school recruits in attendance for their matchup with the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday night, including four-star linebacker Tylan Henderson.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound product of Pflugerville Weiss High School in Texas, where 2027 four-star UW commit Tre Moore also preps, is ranked as the No. 226 overall prospect and No. 16 linebacker in the 2028 class by the 247Sports Composite and has become one of the most sought-after prospects in the country.

He holds 31 offers, with Auburn, California, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, USC, and many other Power Four programs in pursuit of his services, and an early unofficial visit for the Huskies could bode well for Jedd Fisch's coaching staff.

On film, Henderson looks like a seamless fit at inside linebacker for position coach Brian Odom. After starting his career as a safety and wide receiver at Weiss, he made the move to linebacker, where he compiled 113 tackles, 20 for loss, 2.5 sacks, 3 pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries, and an interception in his first full year at the position.

He identifies plays quickly and explodes downhill to combat ball carriers in the run game and pass catchers coming out of the backfield with immense physicality. His eyes and fluidity as an athlete also allow him to be an important piece over the middle of the field in pass coverage, where his football IQ and experience at safety show up in reading a quarterback's eyes quickly to make a play on the ball.

As Odom continues to look at the 2028 class, Henderson appears to be a high-priority target for the Huskies behind five-star Tahj Gray.
