The Washington Huskies are loading up at linebacker in the 2027 class.

Three-star linebacker Isaiah Leilua became the fourth member of the class at the position on Tuesday, committing to Washington over presumed finalist Stanford. Leilua also held offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma, among others.

Leilua joins Kimberly High School (Idaho) product Titus Osterman, and twin brothers Ethan and Justin Coach from St. John Bosco (Calif.) in the class of 2027. His commitment will also reunite him with redshirt freshman running back Quaid Carr, who played at Servite (Calif.) before committing to the Huskies.

Justin Coach and Osterman both have some potential as edge rushers and could potentially move there in college, but defensive coordinator Ryan Walters has shown he's not afraid to play similarly versatile players like Xe'ree Alexander and Zaydrius Rainey-Sale in a number of spots to keep the offense on their toes. With Alexander, Buddah Al-Uqdah, and Jacob Manu all graduating after the 2026 season, Washington will need to restock the position alongside Rainey-Sale heading into 2027.

They started that process by signing Ramzak Fruean and Ezaya Tokio in the 2026 class, adding two 6-foot-4 linebackers to improve on their size problem in the middle of the defense. Osterman is also listed at 6-foot-4, with the Coach twins at 6-foot-2 and Leilua at 6-foot.

One of Washington's Junior Day visitors last weekend, Leilua told Dawgman.com after the visit that Washington was his No. 1 choice by "a big margin" on Monday. Evidently, that margin was big enough to leave no doubt by Tuesday.

Washington now has eight commitments in what currently stands as the No. 10 class in the country per 247Sports' rankings. Six are on defense: Leilua, the Coach twins, Osterman, corner Maurice Williams, and defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei. The remaining two are four-star wide receivers, who currently headline the group: Braylon Pope and Zerek Sidney.

Washington opens spring practice for its third season under head coach Jedd Fisch at the end of this month.
