Leave it to Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love to put the Fighting Irish up by 14 in a game that’s been a struggle against the 1-7 Boston College Eagles.
Boston College has played better than its record would indicate, and Notre Dame has suffered from far too many self-inflicted wounds. But after safety Adon Shuler snagged an interception, Love took the ball to the house on the very next play.
It wasn’t just a touchdown run — it was a 94-yard touchdown run. The scoring drive was one play and took 14 seconds.
Love becomes the first Notre Dame player in program history to have two 90-yard touchdown runs in his career.
