CHICAGO — If there's one place to appreciate the Michigan football team entering the 2026 season, it's at the running back position. And one of the best ambassadors for the Wolverines has been junior tailback Jordan Marshall, who finally got his star turn a year ago.

Marshall was one of the maize and blue's three player representatives for Big Ten media days on Thursday, and, as usual, he was insightful on the state of the team and its progress. WolverinesWire was there at the Hilton Chicago for the event, and captured seven-and-a-half minutes of Marshall's 30-minute sit-down interview.

Topics covered:

  • Jason Beck's new offense
  • Bryce Underwood's role in the offense
  • Michigan's goal of becoming a top-five offense
  • His offseason development
  • Tony Alford's impact as RB coach
  • Improving in pass protection
  • College Football '27 player ratings
  • JJ Buchanan, Dom Nichols, Chris Bracy and other breakout candidates
  • Michigan's linebacker depth
