What a turn of events in Tuscaloosa.
With 2:40 left in the first quarter, Reggie Powers forced an Alabama fumble. It was the turnover the Sooners talked all week about recording. But linebacker Kobie McKinzie falied to fall on it.
On the next play, linebacker Kip Lewis pressured Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson, who fired it into the hands of cornerback Eli Bowen. Bowen returned the pick 87 yards for a touchdown.
The Sooners lead the Crimson Tide 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.
