Watterson offensive lineman Davis Seaman and four Ohio State signees are among the more than 100 high school football players from across the country preparing to play in the Navy All-American Bowl on Jan. 10 in San Antonio.
Formerly known as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the game includes top-tier players from the classes of 2026 and 2027, including some who have signed to play collegiately and others who will announce their commitments during the game.
The game kicks off at 1:30 p.m. and will be televised by NBC, including in Columbus by NBC4. It also will be streamed on Peacock.
Here is what to know about the game from a central Ohio perspective:
Which All-American Bowl participants are from central Ohio?
Seaman is the only local player in the game and one of just three from Ohio.
A 6-foot-4, 275-pound right tackle, Seaman is a two-year starter for two-time defending Division III state champion Watterson.
The three-star recruit has 17 offers, according to 247Sports, which also has Ohio State as the projected favorite to sign Seaman. Seaman’s other offers include Cincinnati, Illinois, Penn State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Seaman will play for the West team.
Who are the other Ohio players in the All-American Bowl?
Akron Hoban senior offensive lineman Sam Greer, an Ohio State signee, and Cincinnati Taft junior Monsanna Torbert Jr. both will play for the East team.
Both are four-star recruits.
The 6-6, 330-pound Greer committed to Ohio State on March 25, 2025, and helped Hoban’s boys basketball team to a win over Pickerington Central in the 2023 Division I state final.
Torbert Jr., who announced in December that he is transferring to Cincinnati Princeton for his senior season, started at quarterback for Taft the past two seasons and passed for more than 3,600 yards and 50 touchdowns. That run included the Division IV, Region 16 championship in 2024 and an 11-1 record in 2025.
Which Ohio State signees are in the All-American Bowl?
In addition to Greer, Ohio State signees in the game are wide receivers Jerquaden Guilford (Fort Wayne [Indiana] Northrop) and Chris Henry Jr. (Santa Ana [California] Mater Dei) and cornerback Jordan Thomas (Oradell [New Jersey] Bergen Catholic).
Henry, the son of late NFL receiver Chris Henry, signed with the Buckeyes in December despite holding off for two days in the wake of offensive coordinator Brian Hartline becoming the head coach at South Florida.
According to On3, four-star cornerback Aaryn Washington is scheduled to announce his college destination during the game. His final choices are Ohio State, Alabama, Nebraska, USC and Washington.
Washington was a high-school teammate of Henry.
Where is the All-American Bowl being played?
The All-American Bowl is at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The game has been held at the 64,000-seat facility every year but one (2021) since 2003. The one-time home of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs also has hosted five men’s and three women’s Final Fours and three New Orleans Saints games in 2005, when the team was displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
