The 2026 college football season will kick off Saturday at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. The season's first Football Bowl Subdivision game will feature North Carolina versus TCU.

Kickoff between the Tar Heels and Horned Frogs is scheduled for noon EDT (ESPN).

Seven other FBS contests will take place Saturday, including one ranked team in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.

No. 14 USC will host San Jose State at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California (3 p.m. EDT, NBC).

Two ACC schools will also open their seasons against each other when North Carolina State plays at Virginia. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia (ESPN).
