Week 2 Official Visit Preview

We take a look at the largest recruiting weekend for the Huskies and who will be coming to Montlake, with 15 expected visitors.

Committed: 8

WR Braylon Pope- The first commit of the 2027 class, Pope gave Husky fans a lot to be excited about as the next big WR prospect from the Evergreen State. He committed to the Dawgs 12/15.

TE Zach Albright- One of my personal favorite prospects in the 2027 class, I was excited that the well-rounded TE prospect committed to the Huskies 4/27.

DL Jon Ioane- The first consensus four-star commit in the class, Ioane gave Husky fans a lot of excitement as they continue to stack top talent in the trenches. Ioane joined the class 3/26.

DL Matamatagi Uiagalelei- Following in his brother’s footsteps to be coached by Kaufusi, Matamatagi committed to the Dawgs 2/22.

LB Isaiah Leilua- A Jacob Manu clone, Leilua is a heat-seeking missile that became the fourth and final LB commit the the Huskies 3/10.

LBs Ethan & Justin Coach- The talented LB twins were targeted back when the coaches were at Arizona and earned their commitment 2/12.

S Isala Aisa Wily-Ava- The strong and versatile DB is the most recent commit on the defensive side of the ball, who joined the class 5/16.

Uncommitted: 7

QB Caden Jones- The Huskies have told Jones they are looking at taking two QBs in the class, but even if that is the case it is tough to imagine Jones will be the second. He is an enormous lean to Arizona, where his brother is on the team.

WR Osani Gayles- With three commits already and likely a fourth joining later today in Tyson, Gayles is the caliber of player you take no matter how many you already have committed. A borderline five-star, Gayles is electric with the ball in his hands and is likely destined to star as a slot WR. Although he has taken visits to Stanford and Alabama and upcoming trips to UW and Tennessee, it is the final trip to ND that has most people’s attention. They will get the final visit and are the favorites to land him before his commitment.

Edge Josh Christensen- A late riser on a lot of school’s recruiting boards, Christensen has a powerful combination of length and strength that has schools like Oklahoma, UW, and Oregon among others scheduling him for an OV. The Huskies are doing quite well for him, but if local Oregon were to press for him they would be very tough to beat. They do already have two edges committed already, so it remains to be seen how the Ducks will treat Christensen’s recruitment.

DL Sam LeJeune- LeJeune will actually not be visiting this weekend, but taking a midweek visit instead. The Huskies already have three talented DL commits, but like with Gayles, LeJeune is an elite talent that you always find room for. He has already taken a visit to Auburn, is visiting Cal this weekend, and will visit Florida St. the following weekend. It is a tight race for him, but the Seminoles appear to be the current favorite.

CB Censere Gaylord- The top remaining CB on the board (and the top overall player on our latest UWDP Big Board), Gaylord is a lockdown corner who comes back to his west coast roots this weekend all the way from Florida. Coach Richardson has been recruiting him since he was an 8th grader and it has kept the Huskies in the conversation along with Auburn, Georgia, and Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs likely have the edge, but don’t expect Richardson to give up until the ink is dry.

CB Evan Mack- Visiting this weekend after pushing out last week, Mack is a long and talented CB that the coaches like to have in their room. It appears the relationship has cooled a bit though since Mack’s favorite two schools right now are Arizona and San Diego St. Caden Jones is his friend and teammate and it is believed they may go to Arizona together.

S Jaden Walk-Green- UCLA made a strong impression on him during his official visit last weekend, but the Huskies have been trending for Walk-Green for a while now and they are looking to get him in the boat this weekend. He has other visits scheduled, but I predict they push hard to get him to commit and shut it down.

Cancelled: 3

QB Sione Kaho- Once the Huskies secured the commitment of Blake Roskopf, they stopped actively recruiting Kaho. He later committed to Stanford.

TE Jeramie Cooper- Similar to Kaho, once the coaches secured Zach Albright they cancelled Cooper’s visit since they were done at TE.

DL Montana Toilolo- Toilolo ended up committing to UCLA before the summer visit period.

Now onto the predictions for our uncommitted visitors:

QB Caden Jones: 0%

WR Osani Gayles: 5%

Edge Josh Christensen: 40%

DL Sam LeJeune: 20%

CB Censere Gaylord: 33%

CB Evan Mack: 5%

S Jaden Walk-Green: 70%
