Here is your open thread for all College Football Discussion over the weekend. For Husky-specific chat, check out the Game Thread.

Friday Night: #5 Indiana hosts Northwestern on short rest for both teams. It will be the first test of the season for the defending champs. While Northwestern is better than expected, it would still be a titanic achievement just to keep the game close. Meanwhile, Clemson continues their steady descent, this time on the West Coast against Cal.

Saturday Early: It has been a weak set of early games so far this season. This week has some improvements, headlined by #1 Texas paying a visit to #14 Tennessee. #16 Louisville has an ACC matchup with Wake Forest, #7 Ohio St kicks of their B1G slate against Illinois, and Texas Tech gets a reprieve against Sam Houston St after a tough test against Houston a week ago. UCLA @ Maryland is an interesting B1G game shortly after this start time.

Saturday Midday: The SEC takes center stage with several of its ranked teams colliding early in conference play. #21 Florida hosts #4 Ole Miss, fresh off their huge, emotional win over LSU. Oklahoma has a chance to get a signature win in Athens against #2 Georgia. Back in B1G country, #18 Michigan welcomes #17 Iowa for a rock fight.

Saturday Evening: The primetime slot may not be as deep as it is some weeks, but there are some big headliners. #20 Oregon @ #12 USC is probably the biggest game of the evening. #10 LSU hosting #23 Texas A&M is the biggest rival. Missouri @ Mississippi St features a pair of ranked SEC teams. West Virginia and Oklahoma St both have surprising upset wins already this year and they will take each other on in Morgantown.
