Western Hills hires Rico Middlebrooks as next football coach

Western Hills High School has named Rico Middlebrooks as its next head football coach.
He takes over for Derek Webster, who went 8-23 in three seasons, including 3-7 in 2025. The Mustangs' last playoff appearance was 2023 and their last winning season was 2020, when they won five straight games after starting 0-3.
Middlebrooks most recently made coaching stops as the defensive coordinator at Lakota East and Colerain.
Coach Rico Middlebrooks is joining the Western Hills family! As the former Colerain and Lakota East defensive coordinator, Coach Rico aims to change the culture and prepare young men for success beyond the field.
