John Mateer and the Oklahoma Sooners will host Kenny Minchey and the 17th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in Week 7 of the 2026 college football season on Saturday at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.

The Sooners (3-2, 1-1 SEC) are coming off an emotional, walk-off win over Texas in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday as Tate Sandell made a field goal as time expired for a 27-24 victory.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats (5-1, 3-1) won their second consecutive overtime game last Saturday, beating LSU 35-34 with a 2-point conversion.

Oklahoma vs Kentucky predictions, picks, odds

Odds courtesy of BetMGM as of Friday, Oct. 16:

• Spread: OU (-6.5)
• Over/under: 43.5
• Moneyline: OU -235 | UK +200

Prediction: Kentucky 21, OU 20

Picking against the Sooners coming off an emotional Red River win feels like a fool's errand. However, the Wildcats are on a four-game winning streak since falling apart late against Alabama. If Will Stein can become the first UK coach since Bear Bryant in the 1951 Sugar Bowl to beat OU, then the playoff path gets real interesting.
