OXFORD — Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin was the main focus of the Rebels’ win against Florida.

The No. 7 Rebels beat Florida 34-24 on Nov. 15 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Florida (3-7, 2-5 SEC) has emerged as a school that is targeting Kiffin for its next head coach.

Gators fans in attendance made it known through signs and chants that they want Kiffin in Gainesville.

The home fans also made it known how they felt about Kiffin. After the win, Ole Miss fans chanted,”We want Lane, we want Lane.”

Kiffin was asked in his postgame press conference if he anticipates being the head coach at Ole Miss in 2026.

“I love what we’re doing here,” Kiffin said. “Today was awesome. I don’t talk about that stuff. To even talk about it here would be so disrespectful to our players and how well they played today.”

Ole Miss (10-1, 6-1) is on the cusp of reaching its first College Football Playoff. The Rebels are No. 7 in the latest CFP rankings and are headed into an open week.

“We’ve got a lot of things going here,” Kiffin said. “Doing really well.”
