The Big 12 has been in the spotlight during the lead-up to the 2026 college football season.
It isn't a good one, however, as Texas Tech was the center of controversy over transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby
The QB, who also played at Indiana, found himself in the thick of a mess over his sports betting history.
After a lot of conference in-fighting and a lot of legal wrangling, Sorsby wound up applying for the NFL supplemental draft on June 15. The pro league told him the league would not have a supplemental draft this year.
So, Texas Tech will go on without him and the rest of the conference will try and peacefully co-exist with the Red Raiders.
Who are all the teams in the Big 12 Conference, anyway?
University of Arizona Wildcats
Arizona State Sun Devils
Baylor Bears
BYU Cougars
Cincinnati Bearcats
Colorado Buffaloes
Houston Cougars
Iowa State Cyclones
Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas State Wildcats
Oklahoma State Cowboys
TCU Horned Frogs
Texas Tech Red Raiders
