Indiana football had its second turnover generated after a mistake by Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, albeit this time with the running back bumping into him.

On the recovering end of the fumble was IU‘s Mario Landino. Rush end Mikail Kamara called a breakout season for Landino in July in Las Vegas at Big Ten football media days.

Boy, did he deliver on that promise in the biggest game of IU’s football season. Moore was going to throw on a run-pass option, but the ball was knocked out as he wound up when it hit backup running back Dierre Hill Jr., who is in due to several injuries the Ducks are facing at the position.

Landino fell on it at the Oregon 3-yard line and, three plays later, Kaelon Black punched in to give IU a 21-7 lead with 8:17 left in the first half of the Peach Bowl.
