MADISON – The Wisconsin football program is serious about improving its offensive line.
PJ Wilkins, a guard from Mississippi, announced his commitment to the Badgers on Jan. 7. He is the fourth offensive lineman to commit to UW since the transfer portal opened Jan. 2.

Wilkins, who redshirted in 2023, has two years of eligibility remaining.

Wilkins was rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals as a transfer as well as when he came out of Saint Frances High School in Baltimore. 247sports didn’t rate him in high school or as a transfer.
Did PJ Wilkins play in the College Football Playoff?
Wilkins played in Rebels' wins over Tulane and Georgia. According to Pro Football Focus, he played 28 snaps on offense in a 41-10 win over Tulane on Dec. 20 and nine snaps in the 39-34 victory over Georgia on Jan. 1. He was also a regular on the field goal unit.
How can PJ Wilkins help the Wisconsin Badgers?
Wilkins provides a potential option to fill the shoes of Joe Brunner, who according to multiple reports is headed for the transfer portal. Wilkins started the first two games at left guard for Mississippi and continued to play the position after he was moved to second string. He can play both sides of the interior, something he did while playing for Charlotte in 2024.
Like portal pickups Austin Kawecki and Lucas Simmons, he adds physical maturity to a room that leans on the young side. His postseason experiece is a plus, too.
